Kills fleas and ticks. Repels mosquitoes and biting flies.
Proticall is an inexpensive and effective method tick control. It does an excellent job on ticks and a fairly good job on fleas. Safe for dogs and people, Proticall is toxic to cats. It must not be applied to cats and should not be used when cats groom the dog or sleep in the same bed with the dog.
Each package contains six tubes of Proticall. Use one or more tubes at a time, depending on the size of the dog. Reapply as needed, typically once a month but not more often than every 7 days.
Small dog (less than 33 lbs) apply 1 tube
Large dog (33 – 65 lbs) apply 2 tubes
Extra large dog (66 lbs or more) apply 4 tubes
This means that two packages will last about a year for a little dog, six months for a medium large dog, but only two months for a giant sized dog.
It makes no sense to me that a 65 lb dog gets 2 tubes and a 66 lb dog gets 4, but that’s what it says on the package. Personally, I’d try using 3 tubes on a 66 to 86 lb dog and see how well it works. Using a lower dose than recommended certainly won’t hurt the dog, and will probably work just fine.
